Mets Home Opener…in Chicago!
April 14th, 2009 Posted in Citi Field, Finley Dunne's, Mets Watching, Mike PizzaWhile we didn’t have the hoopla of a new stadium to watch the game in, we did have a bar in Cubs-land that hung a Mets pennant. Thank you Finley Dunne’s:
A nice group of Chicago Mets Fans gathered at Finley Dunne’s for the game. We watched in their back room with a few HD television’s and the audio turned up. Despite the game outcome, it was a nice turnout and great to watch the game with more than one other person. It was extra exciting that D-Wright hit a homer on my birthday. Too bad, the rest of the pitching and hitting couldn’t pull out the win. I want to thank everyone that came out to watch the game. Let’s do it again, soon.
A few pictures from the our game watch:

Yes, I took pictures of the game on TV. Anyone else find it odd the SNY booth interviewed Seaver, but not Piazza?
