The life of a Mets fan living in Chicago.

Inaugural post

Opening Day.

This is a picture from the Mets home opener at Shea Stadium on April 9, 2007 – the Mets won 11-5. Since that game, I have attended at least 4 others this season before moving to Chicago. And of all the neighborhoods in my new city, Nik and I end up getting an apartment in Wrigleyville! We are a 15 minute walk to Wrigley Field, which is cool, but I will never, ever become a Cubs fan.

In a nutshell though, this website idea came from the fact that I am one of the biggest Mets fans and I now live in the biggest Cubs area possible in Chicago. I thought it’d be fun to see how easy it is to catch a Mets game in the city; how many comments I get when I go out in public wearing Mets apparel or when I pay with my credit card that has a nice big Mets logo on it.

I’d also like it to be known that I bought a pair of Mets/Cubs tickets for an August game at Wrigley long before we even had an apartment. Those, and Lollapalooza tickets as well.
